get to know us
At Tattva Kala, we believe that art is an expression of the elements that surround us. Our name, which translates to "elements of art," reflects our passion for creating pieces that are inspired by nature's elements. Each creation we make employs all five elements: earth, water, air, fire, and space.
Our ceramics are not just beautiful, but also timeless. We aim to blend modern aesthetics with the prestigious forms of ancient art, creating pieces that are both contemporary and classic.
MEET PURVI
After spending years working in the fast-paced world of fashion design, Purvi decided to pivot and pursue her passion for ceramics. Her work is a reflection of her emotional journey, incorporating elements of balance and asymmetry to create pieces that are truly unique.
Drawing on her fashion background skills in construction and deconstruction, Purvi uses her hands to mold and shape each piece, allowing the clay to take on a life of its own. She was drawn to ceramics during an advanced residency course at Atelier Lālmitti in Himachal, where she was able to explore the endless possibilities of this versatile medium.
Inspired by Constructivism and the Bauhaus movement, our Purvi's work embodies simplicity and elegance. As a ceramic artist and pottery instructor, Purvi enjoys sharing her knowledge of clay with the community as it also helps to deepen her own understanding of ceramics
